You may have noticed we’ve been feeling inspired by all things Mediterranean this year and the festive season is no exception. Channeling the citrus gardens and cypress trees of Tuscany, we’ve put together a Christmas Table that will have your guests swooning over the decor and delicious dishes. And when it comes to knowing how to host a Tuscan Style Christmas, it’s as easy as following these simple steps.
Location, Location.
An outdoor setting is a must for creating an ambience that is perfetto. Whether an outlook of rolling hills, next to some citrus trees or by a beautiful pool, table placement is key. Be sure to allow for some shading as the afternoon suns warms up.
Be Bold & Bright
Italians love to embrace colour in their homes with bold, contrasting patterns taking centre stage. Incorporate deep blues inspired by the Mediterranean and soft greens of olives groves into your Christmas table with our Ferrero napkins, tablecloths, enamel/ mango wood platters, bowls, and trays. Glass Candle holders and leather napkin rings will complete the look.
Orange is the new… Christmas Colour!
Not only do dried orange slices provide a beautiful vibrant colour to your Christmas Table, the aroma is incredible. To dehydrate the oranges, simply slice thinly, then place on baking paper in the oven on 70 degrees for 4-5 hours. Once cooled, refrigerate in an air tight container until ready to decorate.
Here we’ve layered them across Cypress branches and paired with cinnamon sticks on a serving plate.
